Local	Voluntary Minority Bar Associations	Affiliates in the News	Outreach Conference	Registration

Chief Judge Haworth and Judge Dunnigan cut the ribbon at the new Manatee County Children’s Waiting Room, a project spearheaded by the Manatee County YLD.  The room is located on the Family Law floor of their Judicial Center, adjacent to the Domestic Violence Courtroom, and children who accompany their parents or guardians to court proceedings at the Manatee County Judicial Center will now have a safe and friendly environment to visit while awaiting hearings.  The Manatee County YLD won designation as Outstanding Public Service Project at the 2008 Affiliate Outreach Conference for this project. July 2008 - Dearing takes over YLD
“I’ve always liked being involved with giving back to the community,” said Dearing, who will be serving her sixth year on the board. “The Young Lawyers are very active in not only giving to the community, but also giving people a way to help other people.
